Phish Merriweather- Columbia, MD 2026

My commemorative ticket stubs for Phish’s 2-night run at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD. The art features street signs that are found in the city of Columbia. Night 1 features Divided Sky Lane, which is located right next to the venue. The name of this street is purposely a Phish reference, seeing how Night 1 will be their 25th time performing at the venue! The name also coincides with the creative street names found in Columbia, many based on art and literature. I wondered if any other streets may coincidentally be a Phish reference. After (too many) hours of searching street name databases, I came across a cul-de-sac named Possum Court, featured in the Night 2 art. A mere 10 minutes away from the venue, although I wouldn’t suggest driving there to take a picture!

Each stub measures 2.75 x 6.5 inches (the same size as PTBM tickets) and is printed on coated 130 lb card stock by Fireball Printing in Philadelphia. The back features a spot to write down your actual seat/section. I will also include a mini art print/postcard with each order, along with other freebies while supplies last. Phish Walnut Creek Raleigh NC 2026

My commemorative ticket stubs for Phish’s show at the Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek. The artwork depicts the sculpture “Gyre” by Thomas Sayre, on view outside the North Carolina Museum of Art in Raleigh. I was intrigued by the sculpture when I came across it while researching Raleigh.

Cast horizontally in the earth, each piece is then stood vertically with a large crane. Gyre derives its name from the Irish poet, W. B. Yates, who conceived of history as the complex movement of a spiral.

Phish Savannah, GA 2026

My commemorative ticket stubs for Phish’s 2 night run at the Enmark Arena in Savannah, GA. The art was inspired by the songs “Meat” and “Light”. Night 1 features a visit from a meat truck to the Sorrel-Weed House, one of the most haunted houses in Savannah. What else do you do when you have a host of ghosts living on your street? Night 2 features one of the pathways of Bonaventure Cemetery. This one was challenging, having to create the effect of sunlight piercing through the trees in watercolor! I will have the original paintings available for sale in the near future.

Phish Ruoff Center (Deer Creek) 2026

My commemorative ticket stubs for Phish’s 3 night run at the Ruoff Music Center (Deer Creek). The art was a trio of watercolor paintings of polygonal deer. I was inspired by an art lesson I did with my 5th-8th students a few months ago. I ended up drawing many polygonal animals, and learned that this lesson is best for 7th-8th! The background for night 3 is based on the lake outside the entrance to the amphitheater.

Each stub measures 2.75 x 6.5 inches (the same size as PTBM tickets) and is printed on coated 130 lb card stock by Fireball Printing in Philadelphia. Phish Madison, WI 2026

“Cadillac rainbows and lots of spaghetti
And I love meatballs, so you better get ready!”
My commemorative ticket stubs for Phish’s 2 night summer tour opener at the Kohl Center in Madison, WI. The art was a pair of watercolor paintings inspired by the lyrics from the song “Halley’s Comet”. Night one art features a futuristic Cadillac from a 1959 car ad flying over downtown Madison. Night two art features the statue “Wisconsin”, which sits atop the Wisconsin Capitol Building.

Each stub measures 2.75 x 6.5 inches (the same size as PTBM tickets) and is printed on coated 130 lb card stock by Fireball Printing in Philadelphia. Phish Summer Tour 2025

I have all of my summer tour stubs now available in my shop! This was about 4 month’s worth of work, and I’m very happy to be done! Well, until I start up art for the September shows. I will be added the original paintings to my shop soon, although a few have been snatched up already! Be sure to follow my IG (@joseeen) or Facebook page ( Josean Rivera Fine Art) for updates on those.

Phish Riviera Maya

20170105_144546

I recently finished up a new linocut for Phish’s upcoming shows in Mexico. Prints are hand-pulled, and printed on 108 lb 11×14 paper, and limited to an edition of 50 (although there will be some color variants in the near future). Prints are available for purchase in my shop,  Joseeen.etsy.com.

A last minute decision, I was inspired to do something after attending their 12/28 show, as well as streaming the rest of the run.  Trying to come up with something appropriate for a Mexico run poster, I recalled the work of Jose Guadalupe Posada, who’s artwork is best associated with Day of the Dead.  I recently had several students choose him for a presentation in my class, so I actually learned quite a bit from them!  After looking at many of his prints I took elements from two of them, El Cometa del Centenario de la Independencia  (The Comet Marking the Centennial of Independence) and El Pequeño Adivinadorcito (The Young Diviner) to create my illustration.

20170103_161157

This is my largest edition to date, and marks the beginning of year full of block prints.  I hope to try some more complicated methods, as well as working larger, although this would require me to look into a printing press (and a bigger apt!)  I’ll be working on some color variants soon, and will be posting those here shortly!

Still Waiting (for Fall Tour)

I recently had the time to do some much needed maintenance to my Shop, as well as to this site.  I’ve streamlined my shop, and at the same time added more items. Through the power of scroll-down menus, I was able to add setlists from previous years. I’ve also changed up this site, including updating the setlist archives.  It’s now easier to go to a specific show  or tour with endless scrolling.

I have previous year setlists on sale, including deals if you purchase multiple show runs!  I also have 2016 show posters available for all the summer tour shows.  Sadly, I doubt I’ll be able to do show posters for  all of Fall tour (it’s been a busy school year so far) but I might do a poster for all of tour, possibly a block print.   I’ll of course be creating setlists for fall, and with them new song illustrations.  I’m also opening up commissions for any show setlists for only $25!  You tell me the show, I create the setlist with header art, at a very limited edition of 10.  I can also do multiple shows for a discounted price.    You can contact me below if interested, or hit me up on various forms of internet (FB, IG,Twitter links on the side menu).  And as always, a dollar from every setlist sold is donated to Mockingbird Foundation as a thank you for allowing me to use their setlist notes for my setlist art!
