Phish Pittsburgh, PA 2025

My commemorative ticket stubs for Phish’s show at the Petersen Center in Pittsburgh, PA. For this stub, I drew inspiration from the Westinghouse Atom Smasher, a particle accelerator from the 1930s found in a residential area east of downtown Pittsburgh. It played a crucial role in the development of practical applications of nuclear science for energy production. In 2015, the building was torn down, but the atom smasher remains there to this day.

Each stub measures 2.75 x 6.5 inches (the same size as PTBM tickets) and is printed on coated 130 lb card stock by Fireball Printing in Philadelphia. The back features a spot to write down your actual seat/section. I will also include a mini art print/postcard with each order, along with other freebies while supplies last. Phish Burgettstown 2023

My ticket stubs for Phish’s 2 night run in Burgettstown, just outside Pittsburgh, Pa.  The original art was watercolor on paper. Inspired by PTBM (Phish tickets by mail) ticket stubs. The barcode actually scans and links to each night’s setlist on Phish.net. Each stub measures 2.75×6.5 inches (The same size as PTBM tickets) and is printed on 14 Pt paper (slightly thicker than actual stubs)

For this run I continued my shift towards working more with watercolor paint without adding linework. Although Burgettsdown is miles away from the city, I choose to capture the bridges that many driving to the shows may encounter if they pass through Pittsburgh. With over 450 bridges, Pittsburgh is an easy city to get lost in, as I have learned many times in my college days going to concerts in the city. I also included the floating pickle balloon that greets you at the Picklesburgh festival, which took place the same weekend at the shows. I spoke to many people at the show that had just come from there, or were planning to go the next day! I also learned how seriously Pittsburgh folk take the festival!

You better believe I gave her a discount!

I was excited for these show since my first show was Star Lake 2003. I was also able to vend at these shows, which is nice since most of my sales are conducted online. Its always great getting to interact with people who enjoy my work, and to be able to put faces to names I’ve seen order from my shop.

Phish Pittsburgh poster

I’m happy to present my  poster for Phish’s show in Pittsburgh at the Petersen Events Center during their 2017 Summer tour. 12×18 on thick glossy paper (#110 cover). This poster combines the venue with the iconic Duquesne Incline cable car which overlooks the Pittsburgh skyline. Original is ink and watercolor, and includes references to several songs, as well as several Pittsburgh sports teams. Limited to a signed and numbered edition of 100.

Pittsburgh Final web

I included a lot of little references in the poster to Phish songs, as well as a few sports teams (see if you can spot them!) The posters are available in my Etsy Shop , as well as www.phishart.com.  I plan to bring a few to Pittsburgh with me, but the likelihood of a lot scene or shakedown is slim, since the venue is in the middle of the city. I will also have these at the Phan Art shows during the MSG run in the Hotel Pennsylvania (7/22 and 8/5, 12-6pm)
