“And she knew that what she made would be the finest in the nation”

The eighth print in my Summer 2019 series.  I was very excited to work on this for my hometown show! In the hopes of some dark jams and evil Phish during the  Camden run, I looked at some of Dürer’s prints for the Book of  Revelations.  I took a portion of his print “The Whore of Babylon” (1498) and reinterpreted it as Reba on a Multi-beast on the banks of the Delaware with the BB&T burning in the background.  They actually ended up playing Reba, Tela, and Antelope during the run, but no Sloth.

Prints are 9×12 on 11×14 paper, and  hand carved and printed. . Both editions are printed on 140 lb watercolor paper. Black and white are an edition of 30, and a watercolor variant of 7, as well as edition variants.  Due to the nature of the process each print may slightly differ in background color. I had these with me on lot at Camden and the remaining  prints are now available in my shop: www.joseeen.etsy.com

“Pfffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff”
-Henrietta

The sixth print in my Summer 2019 Series.  For the Merriweather shows, I was inspired by another of Dürer’s prints that he created for Book of Fools, this one titled ” Impatience When Punished” (1494).  The Lizard Fool  makes another appearance (the first was in my Bonnaroo print), and I choose to replace the bagpipe with a vacuum, and included a guitar, a drill, and a Moog synthesizer in the foreground.

Prints are 9×12 on 11×14 paper, and printed with Supergraphic black ink by Bill Fick. Both editions are printed on 140 lb watercolor paper. Black and white are an edition of 30, and 2  watercolor variants of 9 each. Due to the nature of the process each print may slightly differ in background color.  I will have the prints with me on lot this weekend at the shows, and remaining prints will be available in my shop on Monday.

Summer Tour 2019: Charlotte

“Passing through the corridor I came upon an aging knight
Who leaned against the wall in gnarly armor
He was on his way to see the king”

The fifth print in my Summer 2019 series. For the Charlotte show, I was  inspired by the Dürer woodcut titled “The Knight goes out and commands two scribes and two priests to compile this book” (1493) and the song Lizards.  This is my second print to feature the Lizards, depicting the first meeting between Col. Forbin and Rutherford the Brave. as well as the Rhombus in the background
Prints are 9×12 on 11×14 paper, and printed with Supergraphic black ink by Bill Fick. Both editions are printed on 140 lb watercolor paper.
