Phish Big Cypress NYE Illustrated Setlist

People asked, so I did my best to deliver. This show was pretty tricky due to the number of songs, so I opted for a larger format.  I have prints for sale via Fine Art America right now, but I’m working to do a limited hand signed edition, hopefully in a 12×18 or 18×24 size that would be more economical to both the buyer and I.  I’ll be doing more shows based off of requests and commissions in the near future, as well as the Miami NYE run coming right up!

Illustrated Setlists now available in different sizes!

I have been getting requests for my illustrated setlists in larger sizes.  I’ve looked into it and hadn’t really been satisfied with the pricing or quality.  I had completely overlooked a service, that I’ve actually used in the past,  Fine Art America.  I’ve actually been using this service since 2010, and have actually seen the prints themselves.

FAA

They offer various sizes, as well as many different formats ( acrylic, canvas, metal, and even framed prints)

I’ll be adding all future shows to this service, and including links in the etsy listings for them as well.

faa5

Check them out, as well as over a 100 other prints of my original artwork via Fine Art America.

Phish Song Illustrations IV

It’s been too long since I’ve updated. I’ve been working on more watercolors, as well and redoing some illustrated setlists.  I have big plans about 2015 including custom shows, possible t shirts, as well as variations of song illustrations.

These songs, like all the others are ink and watercolor on 140lb paper.  They are available for sale, but don’t tend to last long in my shop.

I’ll take requests for specific songs, inquiries can be sent to me via direct message on twitter, instagram, or facebook.

Phish Song Illustrations

Since the end of Fall tour, I’ve gone back to my initial concept of illustrating songs in ink and watercolor.  With less than 46 days til Phish plays again, I’m trying to do as many as I can.  I would eventually like to replace the images I use in my illustrated setlists with hand colored ones, hopefully by summer tour 2015.  In the meantime, I’ll be posting songs as I draw them here.  They are all for sale, and only 1 of each song will be painted. Ink and watercolor on 6×8 140lb paper.  I’ll take requests for specific songs, inquiries can be sent to me via direct message on twitter, instagram, or facebook.

Notes: The backdrop on the stage at the start of the show was a large gate adorned with a “P.” During Lawn Boy, Page introduced Mike as “Michael Gordleone” and Fishman took a drum solo. Trey teased Saw It Again during Tube and San-Ho-Zay during Wolfman’s. The musical costume was a set of original, mostly instrumental music played with the sound effects and narration of the 1964 Disneyland albumChilling, Thrilling Sounds of the Haunted House. Prior to the start of Set II, the stage was cleared of all band equipment, and a graveyard set was brought out. At the start of the set, smoke filled the stage, and zombies appeared behind the gate. When the gate opened, a large haunted house with the band inside was brought to the front of the stage. The sound effects and narration were played on the PA, while an undead narrator would emerge from a crypt inscribed with “ESTHER” prior to each song for the introduction. At the end of The Fuse, the sides of the house came down while sounds of an explosion were heard, and the band was revealed inside, dressed in white tuxedoes and with zombie face paint. Several zombies came to the front of the stage and danced during Martian Monster. At the conclusion of the set, the band members came down from the Haunted House riser, slowly walked to the front of the stage, and took bows, along with the entire cast of zombies. All songs during the second set were debuts, with the titles taken from the first ten tracks of Chilling, Thrilling Sounds of the Haunted House. Sand contained a tease by Trey of School’s Out. Is This What You Wanted was a Phish debut. Page performed Frankenstein on keytar, which was played for the first time since July 1, 2012 (100 shows).

Chalk Dust was unfinished and ended with Fish teasing The Wedge. Toward the end of the YEM jam, Trey picked up his megaphone and began using the siren on it as he ran around the stage. Mike joined him, and Trey held the megaphone up to Mike’s bass. Mike then began playing his fight bell with drum sticks while Trey went to the drums and played along with Fishman.  Finally, Mike and Page joined in, so that all four were playing on Fish’s kit. After Page thanked the audience and crew, Mike teased The Load-Out.

10/18/14 Key Arena, Seattle Washington

Here’s the setlist from Saturday’s show in Seattle Washington.  I had to revert back to the standard format, since the landscape view wasn’t working to well with the amount of songs played (as well as not as aesthetically pleasing in my opinion)
