This show featured the Phish debuts of See That My Grave Is Kept Clean and Everything In Its Right Place. Dinner and a Movie was last played on July 21, 2013 (164 shows). Scents did not have the intro. Everything In Its Right Place was quoted in What’s the Use?, Scents, Caspian, Fluffhead, and before and during Frankenstein. No Men In No Man’s Land was quoted in Scents. Frankenstein featured Page on keytar.

This show was night eight of Phish’s Baker’s Dozen run at Madison Square Garden and consisted of a jimmies donut theme. Donuts with a rainbow jimmies were given to fans arriving at the venue. Trey quoted The Squirming Coil and Glass Onion during Fly Famous Mockingbird. During Harpua, Trey and Mike sat on chairs at the front of the stage, the entire band discussed cosmology, and eventually decided that the universe was in the shape of a donut. Trey mentioned donuts and teased Harpua in 2001. This show featured the Phish debut of The Wind Cries Mary.

This show was night seven of Phish’s Baker’s Dozen run at Madison Square Garden and consisted of a cinnamon donut theme. Donuts with a cinnamon glaze were given to fans arriving at the venue. I Am the Walrus included Shipwreck, The Birds, Your Pet Cat, and Martian Monster quotes. Dirt and Mountain Jam were teased in Harry Hood. Cinnamon Girl was last performed on July 31, 1997 (629 shows).

Phish Baker’s Dozen Poster

I’m excited to present my poster for Phish’s Baker’s Dozen Run in NYC this summer! Inspired by a vintage Easy Bake Oven box, the prints are 13×19 on heavy cardstock and are limited to a signed and numbered edition of 100. Prints are available in my shop, and I will have some for sale at the July 22nd and August 5th PhanArt shows at Hotel Pennsylvania. 5820ef626accd3adff4f2f79a7e2c131

When these shows were announced, I knew that creating a poster would be a challenge. With a theme already established by the band, I had to find something that fit in with theme while avoiding the obvious. Ideas came and went, but eventually I came across a picture of a vintage Easy Bake Oven box and inspiration hit! The original illustration is completely hand drawn, including all the lettering, which was then watercolored in a deconstructed manner and scanned in order to recreate the box. I also went back to more detailed style that I hadn’t done in years!

I also ended up creating a poster for summer tour, which also appears in the Baker’s Dozen poster. Any BD poster purchase will ship with one of these for free, and they are also available for purchase on their own. The prints are 11×17 on cardstock, and limited to 100 prints.

Originally I was only creating one poster for tour, as well as setlist illustrations for all the shows, but that didn’t last long. I just finished up a poster for the Pittsburgh show July 19th, and will be posting it shortly, so stay tuned!
