Uncle Pen was played for the first time since August 17, 1997 (136 shows). Makisupa featured Trey on keyboards and included the keyword “NORML.” At the end of Rock and Roll, Trey jokingly thanked the show’s sponsors, NORML and the (musical) Key of “A.”
The lyrics in Makisupa referenced “university rent-a-cop.” The transition into Caspian featured Fish on vacuum. During Caspian, a naked man jumped on stage and was kicked off by security.
This show marked the Phish debut of Rhinoceros. The Halley’s jam included A Love Supreme teases from Page. The show also featured the return of Ride Captain Ride, which had not been played since December 30, 1992 (492 shows) and Bike, which had not been played since November 7, 1996 (129 shows). Gumbo included Manteca teases.
I recently finished up one of my larger commissions for 5 shows, mainly from 98 tour. I’ll be posting them during the next couple days while I’m attending the first 2 shows of MSG! I’ll also be having a sale in my shop during the run, pretty much everything will be 15% off from now until Jan 1 2018, no coupon necessary!
The usually short Buried Alive was jammed for almost fifteen minutes. This show featured the Phish debut of If You Need a Fool, as well as the debut of the new arrangement of Vultures. A portion of the intro to Antelope featured Fish on vacuum. Bathtub Gin from this gig was included as filler on Live Phish 17.
I’ll have a very small amount of these available for sale shortly. Feel free to contact me if interested!
I was recently asked to create a setlist for this show, one of many that I’ll be posting the coming weeks. I had been meaning to post it for some time, and coincidently realized that today is the 20th anniversary of this show!
The segue from Fee into Antelope included Meatstick quotes. Wolfman’s Brother contained Crosseyed and Painless teases and Taste contained a DEG tease from Trey.
I’m still taking commissions until the NYE run, so feel free contact me here or via FB, IG, or Twitter if there is a show you’d like me to make.
This show was webcast for free via Live Phish. Birds of a Feather contained a The Birds quote. The Wedge contained a Stash tease. Down With Disease was unfinished.
This show was night two of Phish’s Baker’s Dozen run at Madison Square Garden and consisted of a Strawberry donut theme. Strawberry donuts were given to fans arriving at the venue and the show featured the Phish debuts of Strawberry Fields Forever (performed a cappella) and Strawberry Letter 23. Moma Dance was unfinished. Trey teased Pictures of Matchstick Men in the first DWD. I Always Wanted It This Way featured Trey on the Marimba Lumina. All of These Dreams was last played on October 26, 2010 (251 shows). Mike teased Dave’s Energy Guide in Split Open and Melt. This show was webcast via Live Phish.

This is now my fourth year creating these setlists. What started out as little sketches in notebook have evolved to 122 different setlists (and header illustrations) as well as over 300 different song illustrations! I’ll be at the PhanArt Shows in NYC for Baker’s Dozen, and will have plenty of setlists with me!
I’m happy to present my poster for Phish’s show in Pittsburgh at the Petersen Events Center during their 2017 Summer tour. 12×18 on thick glossy paper (#110 cover). This poster combines the venue with the iconic Duquesne Incline cable car which overlooks the Pittsburgh skyline. Original is ink and watercolor, and includes references to several songs, as well as several Pittsburgh sports teams. Limited to a signed and numbered edition of 100.
I included a lot of little references in the poster to Phish songs, as well as a few sports teams (see if you can spot them!) The posters are available in my Etsy Shop , as well as www.phishart.com. I plan to bring a few to Pittsburgh with me, but the likelihood of a lot scene or shakedown is slim, since the venue is in the middle of the city. I will also have these at the Phan Art shows during the MSG run in the Hotel Pennsylvania (7/22 and 8/5, 12-6pm)
I’m excited to present my poster for Phish’s Baker’s Dozen Run in NYC this summer! Inspired by a vintage Easy Bake Oven box, the prints are 13×19 on heavy cardstock and are limited to a signed and numbered edition of 100. Prints are available in my shop, and I will have some for sale at the July 22nd and August 5th PhanArt shows at Hotel Pennsylvania.
My inspiration- a toy box from 1964.
When these shows were announced, I knew that creating a poster would be a challenge. With a theme already established by the band, I had to find something that fit in with theme while avoiding the obvious. Ideas came and went, but eventually I came across a picture of a vintage Easy Bake Oven box and inspiration hit! The original illustration is completely hand drawn, including all the lettering, which was then watercolored in a deconstructed manner and scanned in order to recreate the box. I also went back to more detailed style that I hadn’t done in years!

I also ended up creating a poster for summer tour, which also appears in the Baker’s Dozen poster. Any BD poster purchase will ship with one of these for free, and they are also available for purchase on their own. The prints are 11×17 on cardstock, and limited to 100 prints.
Originally I was only creating one poster for tour, as well as setlist illustrations for all the shows, but that didn’t last long. I just finished up a poster for the Pittsburgh show July 19th, and will be posting it shortly, so stay tuned!
