Phish Summer 2018 Series- Dick’s

The 11th and final print in my summer tour series. Inspired by the Swedish poster for “The Invisible Boy” (1957) by Boheim/Werle.  This was tricky to finish up, with the craziness of Camden, Merriweather, Curveball (RIP), and starting back up at school. Being a teacher gives me the summer to focus on prints, but this one was right in the middle of a busy time of year.  I was stuck on a idea, and ended up bailing on a couple.  My search for the right poster led me to foreign posters for American movies, and eventually I found some Swedish made posters.  The work I found were amazing, inspired themselves from the American movie posters.  This print was a different style than what I had done all summer, and required some different processes.  The images were drawn and inked, then scanned.  Certain parts of the images were drawn and colored digitally to match the original, and the background was watercolor and acrylic.  The final image then digitally arranged.  Prints are 13×19 on cardstock, signed and limited to an edition of 150.  Prints are currently available for sale in my shop: www.joseeen.etsy.com

Still Waiting (for Fall Tour)

I recently had the time to do some much needed maintenance to my Shop, as well as to this site.  I’ve streamlined my shop, and at the same time added more items. Through the power of scroll-down menus, I was able to add setlists from previous years. I’ve also changed up this site, including updating the setlist archives.  It’s now easier to go to a specific show  or tour with endless scrolling.

I have previous year setlists on sale, including deals if you purchase multiple show runs!  I also have 2016 show posters available for all the summer tour shows.  Sadly, I doubt I’ll be able to do show posters for  all of Fall tour (it’s been a busy school year so far) but I might do a poster for all of tour, possibly a block print.   I’ll of course be creating setlists for fall, and with them new song illustrations.  I’m also opening up commissions for any show setlists for only $25!  You tell me the show, I create the setlist with header art, at a very limited edition of 10.  I can also do multiple shows for a discounted price.    You can contact me below if interested, or hit me up on various forms of internet (FB, IG,Twitter links on the side menu).  And as always, a dollar from every setlist sold is donated to Mockingbird Foundation as a thank you for allowing me to use their setlist notes for my setlist art!

8/31/2014 Phish at Dick’s Night 3

Dicks night 3 copy

A bittersweet end to a great run at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, CO.  As sad as I am that I won’t have any shows to draw until Fall tour, although trying to make the setlists live with the time zone difference (I’m in Philly) was exhausting.  This does give me a chance to rework a lot of song sketches that I found weak or have been in heavy rotation during summer tour.  I am excited to play around with some new possible setups for the fall tour setlists.  I’ll also have some other stuff in the works setlist-wise, as well as some Gamehendge related things.  Stay tuned!

Night 3 is available for sale .  25% of proceeds benefit the Mockingbird Foundation

8/29/14 Phish at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park Night 1

Phish is back this weekend for their annual Dick’s run.  They’ll be playing the next 3 nights at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, CO.
Dicks1 copyIt felt good doing this again, even for just 3 days.  I am hoping though to change up the format for the setlists I’ll end up doing for fall tour.  I know I’ll be drawing new versions of songs, so you might see a few during this run.

Prints of 8/29/14 are available via etsy, and  25% of sales from the Dick’s run as well as the themed shows setlists (which will be released shortly) will benefit the Mockingbird Foundation.
